I have always looked, but never touched Benefit products. I think it is because their products are too smart for me; they always go a step above the obvious. For example, instead of having blush, they have this nifty stuff that comes with a tiny paintbrush called Benetint (I hear it’s incredible but it just scares the heck out of me).When I was introduced to a new product called California Kissin’ Lip Shine, I knew there was more than meets the eye. Benefit making an ordinary lip gloss? Pasha! This is a smile-brightening lip shine that claims to “give you a radiantly bright smile and minty-fresh breath.”
You are probably wondering what is in this stuff to make your teeth look whiter. The secret is in the tint; the gloss has an aqua blue sheen which gives the illusion of having whiter teeth. You can wear the gloss alone or with your favorite lip color.
There is definitely something to this claim - ever hear someone tell you that red lipstick makes your teeth whiter? It is the blue hue in the red that is doing that. If it is whiter eyes that you are after try Benefit’s blue mascara which also enhances the color of your eyes.
I have tried both products; the blue mascara really does make your eyes pop. As for the blue gloss, I am not seeing miracles with the teeth (I already have pearly white teeth) but the breath? Smashing darling.
